Kaminda Nobo ‘ MaMs’
The Prosperity programme Kaminda Nobo ‘ MaMs’ has been initiated since 2007 on the island of Curaçao. This Prosperity programme concerns the mental and financial empowerment of adolescent and single mothers in dominantly marginalized and/or reduced to poverty circumstances.
Furthermore, the objective of this programme is to contribute to the eradication of the ongoing phenomena of teenage pregnancy on the island(s) within the next three decades. The first phase, concerning the actual scan of the chain of services provided to this group, has been completed in 2008.
The information that has been gathered during the survey was compiled in a report containing the findings including the recommendations. The next phase, which is being prepared, regards the implementation of these recommendations and therefore also the commencement of the durable change management to improve prosperity for all!
